Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to get started with private lessons?

That all depends on what you want to play, however one thing is certain - you need SOMETHING to practice with! Piano students should have an acoustic or digital piano with full sized keys available to practice regularly. Vocal students should have a voice, but thankfully that comes with the student!

No matter what instrument a student is learning, access to a mobile device is extremely helpful. That being said, the studio runs exclusively on apple products but most programs that we use can also be found on android.

Where is the studio located?

We are hosted by the Parkesburg United Methodist Church and hold most of our programs in the education wing of the church. Programs that are held in collaboration with other organizations are typically held at the other organization’s location.

How do I pay and when?

Tuition payments can be made via credit card on the student portal, or via check or cash. Payment is due the first week of each month.

Do I need to wear a mask?

As of March 2022, masks are welcome in the studio but no longer required. If a student is wearing a mask to their lesson, the teacher will follow suit.

Meet Ms. Ashley

Ashley Radcliff’s music career began with the sounds of “Linus and Lucy” mixed with “Moonight Sonata”. Her mother playing these two pieces at the basement piano in her spare time became the inspiration for a lifelong love of all things piano, and more generally-music.

Through the twists and turns of private lessons, travel choirs, music festivals,  Mansfield University’s music school, and every kind of church music program imaginable, she gained a passion for embracing new musical challenges and helping others conquer their fears and reach their musical goals.

Ashley is a strong believer in the fact that every person has something to gain from creativity in their lives, and that while not all students will become lifelong musicians, every individual stands to gain a bit more humanity when they develop a lifelong appreciation for music.

“...Not only does she teach your child to play piano, but she teaches them music theory so they truly understand what they are doing. She uses a variety of methods when teaching so each child learns in a way that works for them. She’s the best piano teacher in this area!”
