Summer is a great time to try new things—like music lessons! Read on for more.

Attention New and Prospective Students! Mark your calendars for April 1!

Summer 2023 is approaching quickly, and it is the time of year when new students have the best chance of snagging a "spot" in the studio, as summer students receive priority scheduling for the Fall. Lesson types include piano, organ, voice, and guitar.

Summer works a bit differently than the school year, in that during the school year families pay a flat-rate monthly fee that includes all materials/event fees/tuition fees/subscriptions/etc.

During the summer, you will pay for a lesson package, $90 for a pack of 5 twenty-minute lessons. You may purchase as many "packs" as you wish, double up your 20-minute spots to make 40-minute spots, schedule weekly, schedule one week for each day, etc...more on that below.

As a new student, that package price will include a folder and printed studio-licensed materials needed for lessons. Should you want to purchase any hardcover books, that can be arranged and you will be given a link to buy on your own or I can purchase them with reimbursement from you.

Initial Summer Scheduling will happen via SignUpGenius on April 1st. You will receive an email at 9 am with the SignUpGenius link.

From there, you will be able to sign up for lesson spots. All available dates/times will be posted and you get to pick, as summer lessons are a la carte. This is also a change from the school year, where everyone has an assigned weekly lesson time.

Please remember to pick spots in groups of 5, because if you schedule 6 my billing software will automatically bill you for 10!

I will send an email reminder to all current and prospective students on March 31st. Please feel free to ask any questions that you may have in the meantime. If any returning studio family would like to visit the studio or meet via Zoom prior to the beginning of summer lessons, I will have a signup list for that as well in the March 31st email. They will be completely separate.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions that you may have in the meantime!

Also, be sure to get your weekly local arts calendar by signing on at Octorara Area Arts Connection! You’ll be among the first to hear about RMS’s other amazing summer music offerings.
